Functioning of Govt. Departments
All Government departments should reply to all requests/complaints by members of public within a period of not more than 30 days from the date of receipt of requests/complaints. In case the reply could not be given within the period of 30 days, an interim reply giving the reasons for the delay , approximate date of reply (not exceeding 60 days) should be given by the officials concerned. Statistics showing the number of requests/complaints received by each department, whether reply given within the stipulated time etc. should be exhibited in each office and/or in the website every week
